Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year!

Welcome Back to School 2025

Dear Beacon Park Community,

As we begin this new school year, I am excited about the opportunities ahead to build an even stronger and more connected Beacon Park. Together, we will continue creating a place where every student feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to learn.

This year, we are focusing on ensuring that all of our Bengals experience a deep sense of belonging and have access to learning opportunities that support their growth and success. With the support of our dedicated staff and engaged families, we are working to create classrooms and programs that honor each student’s unique strengths and help them thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

I look forward to partnering with you as we move forward, celebrating milestones and working through challenges with a shared commitment to equity, connection, and excellence for all.

Here’s to a year of joy, learning, and community at Beacon Park.

Best,
Kris Linville
Principal, Beacon Park School

Class Requests - Preparing classroom rosters is a collaborative effort among all teachers and administrators. This process begins in the spring and continues well into the summer.

Many contributing factors go into balancing a classroom roster. The personality of the student and teacher, how many students are receiving exceptional services, the number of students who are being pulled out for small group instruction, how many boys and girls are in the class, the academic levels of the students, which students had a tough time getting along with specific students the previous year, and at times, which kids socialize more when they're around particular students.

A request affects not only your child and the teacher's classroom they're moving to but also the schedules of other students receiving services, the schedules of the support for teachers providing interventions for your child and others, the culture of the new class, and may affect the teacher's schedule itself.

Parents should do a few things before requesting for their child's teacher to be changed:

1.) Meet with the teacher with an open mind to voice your concerns. Be very specific.

2.) Understand that in elementary school, we're preparing children to adapt to multiple teachers with different personalities. This is what they’ll see in middle school, and it is excellent for the child's social development.

3.) Establish a communication plan with the teacher to provide updates on the area of concern.

4.) Most importantly, we will provide the highest quality educational experience we can envision.

We appreciate your understanding and effort in knowing that all of our teachers at Beacon Park have the best intentions regarding educating your child.

President's Message:
WELCOME BACK BENGALS!!!!
Just wanted to welcome everyone back this year, and a warm reception for those new to our school!  As your PTA President for 2025-2026, I am excited for everyone to see what we have in store!  From nationally recognized competitions like Reflections, Science Olympiad, and the Spelling Bee, to events like our Fall Festival, Spring Social, Movie Nights, Girl & Guy Talk, and Summer Send-Off. We look forward to your participation in various fundraising events such as Jog-a-Thon and Restaurant Dine-Outs, Tournament of Champions (volleyball, soccer, flag football, and basketball), and everything in between!  Your PTA greatly appreciates your time and effort in helping us with everything we have planned for our Bengal community. These programs will not be possible without volunteers like you. Please reach out to Annie Liu, our Chair of Programs, if you are interested in volunteering for a committee or chairing an event.  Let's make this an amazing year, Bengals!
